You are looking for a motorcycle for several weeks, sometimes several months, without buying one. Between two machines, for the length of an assignment far from home, or to live a whole season on the road: long-term rental answers these situations. At Good Motors, it does not take the form of an advertised monthly rate: it is built with you, from your dates, the model you choose and the mileage you need.
Renting a motorcycle by the month, without buying it
The principle: you keep the same motorcycle from a few weeks to several months, instead of returning it after 24 or 48 hours. You do not renew any booking, and you pick it up self-service in the parking garage where it is kept.
The catalogue shows a price per 24-hour period for each model, and every motorcycle page announces sliding-scale rates: the longer the rental runs, the less each day costs. For a rental by the month, the price is set by a quote drawn up for your dates and your use.
What you no longer pay for
Buying a motorcycle commits you to far more than its purchase price: registration document, yearly insurance, services, tires, a garage space, winter storage, then depreciation. Long-term rental leaves all of that aside.
Insurance is included in the price: mandatory third-party liability, rider cover and roadside assistance with no minimum distance from home in the event of a breakdown, an accident or theft. Maintenance is handled by Good Motors, and the FAQ states that a breakdown occurring under normal use is not charged to you.
Who long-term rental makes sense for
- You are between two motorcycles. Yours is gone, the next one is taking its time, and you do not want to spend the riding season on foot.
- Your license is recent. No minimum license seniority is required on our models, and the pass certificate from the test is accepted while you wait for the final license.
- You are traveling for work. An assignment of a few months in a city where your own motorcycle is not.
- You want to try before buying. A month of daily life with an adventure bike or a roadster will teach you more than a thirty-minute test ride.
What the rental includes
A long-term rental carries over everything included in a standard rental, with a mileage allowance calibrated to your real use.
- Insurance, roadside assistance and maintenance, at no additional cost.
- Straps, the lock and the phone mount, free on every motorcycle. On motorcycles that require the A license, the helmet and gloves are free for the whole rental, and several models, such as the Honda Africa Twin, already come fitted with their side cases and their top case. On 125s and A2 motorcycles, the helmet and gloves rent for 5 € a day, the top case 5 € and the side bags 7 €, as shown on the Honda NX500 page.
- The security deposit, in the form of a pre-authorization hold. It is not charged: its amount varies with the model and is released to you in full at the end of the rental.
- A mileage allowance, set with you. Kilometers ridden beyond it are charged at a rate that depends on the model.
How it works, with no rental office
Our motorcycles are kept in parking garages close to train stations and airports, in ten cities listed on the destinations page: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nice, Toulouse, Montpellier, Biarritz, Avignon and Aix-en-Provence.
You book online, and on the day of departure you receive the key box code and the address of the parking garage. The check-in inspection is done from your phone, thirty minutes before the rental starts. The parking garages are accessible 7 days a week from 8 am to 10 pm, as is the customer service desk.

Which motorcycles suit a long-term rental
The right model depends on what you are going to do with it every day. The prices below are those shown in the catalogue, which is the reference.
- For the city and short trips: the Piaggio Liberty 125, from 39 € per 24 h, or the Yamaha XSR 125, from 45 € per 24 h, both on an A1 license.
- For mixed use, city and getaways: the Royal Enfield Himalayan, from 45 € per 24 h, or the Honda NX500, from 68 € per 24 h, on an A2 license.
- For covering the miles: the models on an A license, from 56 to 97 € per 24 h.
How to get your custom plan
There is no advertised monthly price, because two three-month rentals do not hold the same thing: 300 kilometers a month to get to the office and 2,000 to crisscross the South do not call for the same quote. Your plan is drawn up case by case.
On every motorcycle page, a Request a quote button sits below the booking button. The FAQ also says to write to contact@goodmotors.agency to receive a custom quote. For a precise answer the first time, give your departure city, your dates, the model, your estimated monthly mileage and the equipment you want.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extend my rental while it is running?
Yes. You can shift your dates and extend from your customer account, and the FAQ states that it is also possible to extend the duration once you are riding, by contacting us. Let us know before the planned end: a motorcycle returned late without notice incurs a late penalty.
What happens to the security deposit during a long rental?
The security deposit is a pre-authorization hold, which sets an amount aside without charging it. That amount depends on the model: the FAQ sets it at 500 € for the Piaggio Liberty 125 and up to 2,500 € for the Honda Africa Twin. It is also the excess in the event of theft, fire or material damage. The motorcycle pages state that the deposit hold is released within 48 hours.
How many kilometers are included?
The allowance is set with you when the quote is drawn up, according to what you plan to ride. Beyond it, each additional kilometer is charged at a rate that depends on the model. You can adjust your allowance during the rental from your customer account.
Can I change motorcycles partway through?
No. The quote covers one specific model and you keep that motorcycle for the whole rental. If you are hesitating between two models, the time to talk about it is when the quote is drawn up.
Can I return the motorcycle in another city?
Yes, thanks to the OneWay option, which lets you leave from one point and return the motorcycle elsewhere in France. The FAQ asks you to mention it from your very first contact, and a matching quote is sent to you. The catalogue offers a OneWay filter that shows the models concerned.
